Two albums

Two of the best new releases...

U2's "No Line on the Horizon". Unlike the first single "Get on your Boots" which was a very bad copy of Vertigo, the whole album is very good.

"Sounds of the Universe" is the album that I keep listening to lately. Depeche Mode manage to keep their characteristic sound while renewing their technique. My favorite band!

Black Sabbath

One of my favorite bands. I don't care if they're metal, rock, hard rock etc.
I love their sound, their style, the darkness they have.
I've been listening to them a lot lately.
Hand of Doom(the song on the right) is one of their best! Enjoy!

August

Have I mention how much I love reading books?
That's the main reason I like summer. There's enough free time to read a book and enjoy it.

It's August, the last month of the summer. I'm not sure whether or not I want summer to end. The end of summer means the beginning of a year full of studying for my final exams.

I watched the Dark Knight. I loved it! I'm seriously thinking of re-watching it!

That's all for now...

Summertime

7/7/08
The heat is almost unbearable...
I normally hate summer for various reasons...
But somehow this year I seem to like it....for various reasons again!
Oh well...we'll survive!
The picture is a dream place...someday we'll go there...but for now we have our reality!

Walk the line...

Lately I've been listening to Johnny Cash a lot. The man is a legend! His music moves me in a way I thought I had forgotten.
I also like the movie. Joaquin Phoenix left me speechless!
Anyway...summer is here! Don't panic! We'll get through it!

Birthday!

Today it's my birthday! 17 years old! Wow! In a year I'll be an adult!

Spring is here again...

Yes! It's official! Spring is here AGAIN! The weather still reminds a bit of winter but the word is out... Spring is here! I don't like spring...don't know why...maybe it's because of the sun...maybe it's because of the flowers and the bugs...I prefer winter!

Sweeney Todd

Brilliant! Tim Burton's new movie was simply amazing!
And Johnny Depp was so dark. His eyes could tell the whole story. As for his voice...I was surprised!
As you can guess I'm throught an obsessive phase...
I highly recommend it!

Machines....

Saviour Machine by David Bowie

President Joe once had a dream
The world held his hand, gave their pledge
So he told them his scheme for a Saviour Machine

They called it the Prayer, its answer was law
Its logic stopped war, gave them food
How they adored till it cried in its boredom

'Please don't believe in me, please disagree with me
Life is too easy, a plague seems quite feasible now
or maybe a war, or I may kill you all

Don't let me stay, don't let me stay
My logic says burn so send me away
Your minds are too green, I despise all I've seen
You can't stake your lives on a Saviour Machine

I need you flying, and I'll show that dying
Is living beyond reason, sacred dimension of time
I perceive every sign, I can steal every mind

Don't let me stay, don't let me stay
My logic says burn so send me away
Your minds are too green, I despise all I've seen
You can't stake your lives on a Saviour Machine

-----------------------------------------------------
I like this song...I believe that David Bowie is one of the most underestimated artists...
For no specific reason, this song remind of an X-Files episode...it was called "Ghost in the Machine" if I remember well...
Machines are taking over us, aren't they? This feeling grows stronger every day.
Who knows, maybe one day all the science fiction movies will be real!
Who knows...

Back!

And yes! After three weeks of craziness I'm finally able to relax a little bit!
Many things have happened...some good and some bad...
I'm in a weird mood...a bit emotional and depressed...

I like having my music with me all the time! Because music is what keep me sane...

I really like Spongebob! Don't know why...it's one of the things you like without knowing the why...

Signs that 2008 is gonna suck!

When the year changed everything seemed perfect!
But I realized that things were bad...very bad!
We were planning on playing Trivial Pursuit but guess what! My cousins forgot to bring the question cards!
We were dancing...but we didn't like the music! Actually, we spent the first hours of 2008 listening to awful music!
I lost in Scrabble!
I didn't sleep at all!
I woke up with a headache!
That's it...it's a doomed year...

The last day of 2007...

2008 is almost here!
I want 2007 to be over...it wasn't a good year...
Is 2008 going to be better or the same?
We'll see...
Happy new year to everybody!

Merry Christmas!

So...it's Christmas time!
I still haven't figured out whether I like Christmas or not...
Oh well...I don't care!

Everything you see is a lie...

I feel so lonely...so distant from everyone...
Every morning I wear the same smile...but I don't mean it...
Have you ever feel this unique kind of pain that makes you wanna make your throat bleed from screaming?
I want to scream!
I want to break free!
I'm back to the darkness...
Back..

So cold...

It's so cold...I can barely type...my fingers are frozen...
I feel isolated...
I'm repulsed by people I used to like...
What's the point in talking when I'm only listening about problems?
Seriously...I'm tired...
I care too much...too much...
As if I don't have my own problems! As if I don't have a life to talk for!
I'm tired of over analyzing things...
2008 is almost here...
I need to write down my resolutions...
On top of my list: Survive!

*angry*

I'm so pissed off with some people!
I'm so tired of caring and giving without taking!
It's time to become mean!
Seriously...I'm not asking for a lot of things!
JUST REMEMBER ME!
Awful people...
I hate you all...
I'm sure none of you knows I'm talking about you!

More time please!

Update time! Hehe!

I just came home...I went out with my friends and I must admit I had a great time!
How can you get lost in our city? How can you get lost when you know where you want to go?
Don't ask me! I was only waiting! Hehe!

It's going to be a long and exhausting weekend...
Studying, studying and studying!

I need more time! I don't like deadlines...although I work better when time is running our...
Strange me!

That's all...I'm off for now...

Dum dum dum dum....humming melodies...

My favorite movie is Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas!
I simply love it!
Christmas is almost here...
I decided to spend Christmas with a smile!
No more bad mood! No more yelling! No more darkness!
That's what I'm saying now....but I'm sure that melancholy is gonna knock on my door again...

Books that changed my life...

I read a lot. I get affected by what I read. Some books have really made me change my way of thinking. Just a few of them:

  1. The Beach by Alex Garland. I love it! This book made me wanna travel all around the world, visit Vietnam. I never get tired of reading it.
  2. The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien. What can I say about this epic trilogy? Underestimated of course!
  3. The Idiot by Fyodor Dostoevsky. One of the most interesting books I've ever read! All the characters seem to be so normal, yet they hide in them many dangerous feelings.
  4. The Trial by Franz Kafka. I originally read this for a school project.
  5. The Last Temptation of Christ by Nikos Kazantzakis. I was thrilled to read this masterpiece!
  6. Christ Recrucified by Nikos Kazantzakis. How can this man be called an atheist? I've never read something so religious and respectful!
  7. Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. So prophetic!
  8. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Vern. I was amazed by this book. The descriptions were so real!
  9. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Seriously! The Harry Potter books are among my favorites...
  10. The World's Clock Strikes Midnight by Menelaos Lountemis. No words for this unique book. So moving!
These are just a few books...I'm only writing three Greek books, the ones that inspired me the most. I also love Edgar Allan Poe's writings, rather than the poems. His darkness is so charming!

So...open a book! It'll teach you more than your television!

Insanity!

Insane world! Our world!
Democracy is at stake...
We've lost the sense of logic...
Am I losing my mind or I'm simply joining the rest of the world?
I can't stand watching the news! Not anymore!
I'm tired of murders, rapes, robberies etc.
I'M TIRED!
I feel sick...I am sick...

Listen to "The End" by The Doors...listen to The Doors!

If you go to church, pray to God, memorize the stuff you've been told at school, watch TV, eat cheap plastic food and never ask a question, you're happy! If you do nothing from all those, you're FREE!
Use your will! Use your voice!
